Introducing Nautilus x Craiger
These boards came from the last batch I shaped for my brother Corey at Richmond Fiberglass, who’s funding and backing this project.
Craiger was our dad’s surfboard brand back in the ’70s–’80s. This shape was a flagship model at the time – a shape he built countless times... Our dad also worked as a production shaper for Becker for several years, shaping eight or more boards a day, especially the Longboard Classic models. That era and those boards inspired this design.
These were true daily drivers – perfect for beginner to advanced surfers. We remember how fun they were, so bringing them back just made sense. This is our modern interpretation, staying mostly true to the original.
A lot of surfing’s history – and surfboard building – feels forgotten. Innovation is great, but there’s value in returning to the roots and understanding the foundations. The glassing and construction are also true to original manufacturing methods, meaning these boards are solid and built to last a long time.
